We meet every 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month

6:45 PM Arrival for 7:00 PM Start.

Please note that we do a summer break in July and August.

Club meetings are held in a variety of locations, including corporations, colleges, restaurants and local community centers. Toastmasters’ global network is made of 16,600 clubs in 143 countries. The organization has more than 357,000 members.

What is Toastmasters?

Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs.

Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped people from diverse backgrounds become more confident speakers, communicators, and leaders.

How does Toastmasters work?

Everything in Toastmasters revolves around the club. Most clubs have around 20 members. Each meeting as an agenda with prepared speeches and impromptu speeches opportunities.

Am I required to speak at a club meeting?

No. You are not obligated to speak when visiting a club. You may simply observe if you wish.

How long do club meetings last?

Meeting times range from 1–2 hours.

Do I need to bring anything to a club meeting?

No. You are not required to bring anything to a meeting.

Is there a leader or instructor?

There is no instructor in a Toastmasters meeting. The club will have elected club officers present and a Toastmaster who facilitates the meeting.

Can anyone become a member?

As long as you are at least 18 years old, you can join Toastmasters.

Shall I join the club after my first visit?

Each club features a unique culture, so there’s no pressure to join the first club you visit! Attending club meetings as a guest is free, so visit as many as you like until you find a club that fits your personality.

What is Pathways?

The Pathways learning experience is Toastmasters’ education program. This multi-language online learning tool allows you to leverage over 300 practical workplace skills, including:

  • Interview Preparation
  • Online Meeting Management
  • Leadership Development
  • Project Management
  • Conflict Resolution

How to join?

After you find a club that you like, joining is easy. When you join, you will be assigned a mentor, who will be there to answer any questions you have and help guide you on your journey to personal and professional growth.

How much does the membership cost?

For new members, the annual fee is 200.00 CHF. The Pathways online educational program (CHF 20) is included in this fee.

As a guest

In our club, you can join as a guest for free, experience a typical club meeting, listen to prepared speeches, evaluations and even volunteer to give an impromptu speech!

As a member

You will develop your communication and leadership skills one step at a time. You will continue your journey of personal and professional development through Pathways.
